President Warns Police: Leave Local Democrats Alone

A living nativity scene near the Colorado ski resort of Vail almost had to go without two crucial actors when two donkeys escaped.

"We put out an all-points bulletin on the donkeys", stated Sheriff Mort Jabowski, but people kept bring in these politicians. We had to go back and restate that it was two donkeys, not jackasses, that were on the loose."

Local Democrat Congressman Jim Burber stated that he and the other politicians had gone along handcuffed to the sheriff's office because they thought it was one of those fundraisers to raise money for a charity for Christmas.

"The Sheriff's two deputies that brought us in are the real jackasses here. Why don't he put them in the live nativity scene?"

The nativity scene is an annual tradition for Eagle River Presbyterian Church in the Vail Valley. Pastor Donald Hassdorf says two borrowed donkeys were being held in a fenced-in pen for the event Wednesday night, but the animals pushed their way through it and escaped.

A church member who stopped by the church Wednesday morning noticed the donkeys were gone. He and a sheriff's deputies followed footprints in the snow and eventually caught up with them.

"Well, at least there are still deputies here that can find their asses in the dark", stated the still angry Burber.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
