Earlier today the White House held a press conference where press secretary Robert Gibbs announced that president Barrack Obama would be resigning. Gibbs went on to say that president Obama did not want to make the announcement but could not avoid resigning.
Immediately after the announcement spontaneous cheering and dancing broke out on the street in front of the Republican Headquarters, as party leaders gathered to celebrate a hard fought victory.
As the press corps pressed Gibbs for the reason behind the startling announcement, the president himself entered the conference to give his official statement. "A bill I signed earlier this month had a smudged signature therefore I am forced to resign, …………it."
