Popular TV personality Spongebob Squarepants has found himself embroiled in an embarassing row with billionaire Donald Trump.
Trump, star of The Apprentice USA, claims that Spongebob is living off him.
Storms The Donald: "That squarepants is a shrewd fella. He's got this deal where he's living on my head, so great for him right? Well I've been trying to get him to pay a reasonable rent but so far, nada. He could teach JR Ewing a thing or two. Heck, I reckon I could learn from him."
Spongebob however refuted Trump's claims.
Speaking from the Spanish ranch where he's currently on vacation, Pants said: "I shouldn't even dignify this with a response. Years ago Trump approached me with a business offer. Arrangements were made and I moved in. He's been very happy having me perched on his bonce because, of course, I helped to raise his profile. Now though, he's getting greedy and is asking for rent I can't pay. I get a dollar fifty from Liddleodeon [Spongebob's employers] - that's not going to be enough for the price Donald is asking."
Trump though insisted it isn't about money: "Right is right and whilst I don't mind giving Bob a free ride. There ought to be a little something in it for me."
While the row rages on, Spongebob is gearing up for his new TV series which is said to contain a cheeky reference to The Apprentice.
The shows will air later this year.
