The Georgia Peach Association has given it's highest award to President Barrack Obama for his work in promoting the fruit.
The controversial choice of President Obama was announced with great fanfare at the Georgia State Fair. The award, given to the person who has done the most to promote the marketing and consumption of the famous Georgia peach, had been expected to be awarded to Jennifer Watson, winner of the Miss Georgia Peach Pageant.
In announcing the prize, Georgia Peach Association Chairman Wooly Hub had this to say: "President Obama, in the short time he's been in office, has done more to promote the noble Georgia peach than any other president in history. It is with great pleasure that we, the members of the Georgia Peach Association, bestow this great honor, The Noble Peach Prize, upon him."
"I can't believe it!", sobbed Ms. Watson "What the hell has he ever done to promote Georgia peaches? I don't even think he knows what a peach is!"
