HOLLYWOOD - After Danny Gokey was eliminated from American Idol last week, he revealed to Ryan Seacrest that he is really Robert Downey, Jr.

Downey told Seacrest that he has always wanted to be a singer. But he wanted to become a singer on his own merits and not on the fact that he was merely Robert Downey, Jr., the famous actor.

Paula Abdul, one of the AI judges said that she had a feeling that Gokey was really Downey because he seemed to know a lot of extremely intimate things about Sarah Jessica Parker and Marisa Tomei, two actresses that Downey has dated in the past.

Abdul said that Gokey told her last week that Tomei liked to eat broccoli, guacamole, and brisket sandwiches as a midnight snack.

She also remarked that Gokey/Downey had told her that Sarah Jessica Parker had actually had the peace symbol sign tattooed on her left tonsil.

Randy Jackson said that he first suspected that Downey was impersonating Gokey when he sang the disco song "September" by Earth, Wind, And Fire.

He stated he knew that Downey was a big disco fan and that his favorite disco song was "September."

"The Dawg" Jackson said that in the past he had worked with Robert Downey, Jr.; Earth, Wind, and Fire; George Strait; the Beatles; and John Phillip Sousa.

Simon Cowell said that he first suspected that Downey was impersonating Gokey when he was told by his hairstylist Kylee Drambuie that everyday at noon, Gokey would take a call from Susan Levin, who just happens to be Downey's wife of four years.

Kara DioGuardi said that she had no earthly idea that Danny Gokey was Robert Downey, Jr.

She said that at first she thought that maybe he was Sean Penn, but she soon realized that Gokey could not be Penn because she never say Gokey go all crazy like Penn does and lose his temper over the smallest, little insignificant thing.

DioGuardi did confess that she has always thought that Sean Penn and John McEnroe were the same person.

So now that Robert Downey, Jr. has admitted that he was in fact Danny Gokey the producers of American Idol are requesting that Downey return all of the money that he received for clothes allowance, eye glasses allowance, humility lessons allowance, and bus fare allowance.

Downey agreed and he wrote out a check for $4,294. He apologized and added that he never dreamed that he would make it all the way to the final three.

He did say that he knew he was way better than Anoop Desai, Lil Rounds, and Allison Iraheta for sure.

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Robert Downey, Jr. has just announced that he will be co-starring with Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, Lindsay Lohan, Danny Bonaduce, and Cloris Leachman in the film The Story of Robert "Danny Gokey" Downey, Jr.)

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
