Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is celebrating this evening in his cell, having today been confirmed by the Book of Records as the new world record holder for water-boarding.
Mohammed, currently residing in Guantanamo Base, is said to be delighted that his hard work has finally paid off.
In a press release, he was keen to state that it was not a one man effort, "This was very much a piece of teamwork. My American interrogator worked hard and put in many long hours to get me to here and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them".
The previous record had been held by Abu Zubaydah, who in August 2002 achieved the previous high of 83 "boards".
