DILLON, South Carolina (Doomberg) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke returned to his hometown today where an intersection was named after him as hundreds gathered to honor their native son.
As hundreds of people watched in amazement, honor turned to horror as two cars crashed at high speed, sending debris everywhere.
At that point, Bernanke is reported to have said, "We will continue to forcefully deploy all the tools at our disposal as long as necessary to support the restoration of financial stability and the resumption of healthy economic growth." Then he said, pointing to the wreck, "That was nothing. You should see the mess we have in Washington."
The intersection was named Crash Blvd.
As Bernanke left the scene, he flung a handful of Ameros at the crowd.
