A Boston MD has reported in the latest medical journals that excessive laughing will cause cancer in the small intestine and even the liver.
The medico, who refused to be identified lest people laugh at his findings (thus bringing on premature terminal illness), indicated that laughing spontaneously causes the release of "strange" endorphins that ignite changes in the genes with the ultimate result being a profusion of cancerous lesions taking over major organs in the body.
The news brought considerable mirth from some sections of the medical community including one doctor who couldn't help but giggle loudly when he saw the article.
"I thought that this guy must be joking and just looking to take the piss out of his fellow medicos" said Dr Death of Heavens Gate Medical Services.
Sadly, Dr Death has died since this article has been edited.
