Transylvania: The Transylvanian Republikanz and Demokratic Senatorial candidates' leads keep seesawing back and forth by a few hundred votes. The 1500 disqualified ballots will now be hand counted to determine the winner.
Each Senatorial candidate received in excess of one Million votes from the people of Transylvania, who voted correctly. The State of Transylvania election hinges on the intellectually challenged voters who could not mark their ballots correctly. (Think Florida USA 2000!) Paper ballots simply require that a symbol next to the chosen candidate's name be filled in. But the implied voter intent of these 1500 people will determine the final outcome of the election, as shown in example cases as follows:
1. One candidate's symbol circled vice a filled in symbol. Clear enough.
2. One candidate with a ½ filled in symbol and the other with a ¼ filled in symbol.
3. One candidate with a circled symbol over marked with an X.
4. One candidate with a circled symbol over marked with an X, the other candidate's symbol filled in.
5. One candidate's symbol correctly filled in and a write in name also provided.
Remember that Transylvania was at the forefront of voting machine computer/touch screen technology that prevents the preceding from occurring. The Transylvanian left wing Vampire Luddite voting lobby was so afraid that by using computer based systems, an election will be stolen from their liberal/progressive candidates. Thus, Transylvania politicians changed the voting process to hand marked paper ballots.
Like stickball, this Transylvanian election should be a do-over between the two major candidates (There was a third party Independenzy candidate, such that neither the Republikanz nor the Demokratic candidate received 50% of the total votes.)
This same paper ballot fiasco may be coming to your state's elections for Republican and Democratic candidates in 2010. The USA then returns to adult voters employing hand marked paper ballots in the age where four year olds play computer games via touch screens. The USA Luddites have convinced state legislatures to return to hand marked paper ballots. Truth is obviously stranger than fiction, e.g. Minnesota 2008.
