PHOENIX -- Defeated Republican Presidential candidate John McCain today finally explained his true reason for picking Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate.
"Hey, I just thought she was really hot," McCain confessed over a beer by the pool with some of his old navy buddies. "I had been leaning toward naming Joe Lieberman as my veep, but when I thought of all those late night meetings on the campaign trail, and perhaps the White House, I just decided I would rather spend the time with Sarah."
"Sure she was a bit rough around the edges, needed some new clothes and a decent haircut, but once I saw those legs of hers, man I was sold."
When asked about Palin's husband, McCain said that wouldn't have been a problem. "I had intended naming him ambassador to someplace far away."
