Barack Obama, a big music fan himself, has invited Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney to perform their famous song "Ebony and Ivory" at the Demoncratic National Convention this week.
The performance will take place Thursday, the day entitled "Change You can Believe in." The two running mates - Senators Obama and Biden - are expected to slow dance together, and later pose for photographers.
"I really love that blind guy" proclaimed Obama. "He sure can belt them out."
Convention organizers and speechwriters are thrilled at the singing duet's appearance. "With long-time Washington insider (VP nominee) Biden in the party, we can't fall back on that worn-out 'change' theme. Finally, some new material."
Although Stevie Wonder declined comment, Paul McCartney was excited and hopeful.
"I'm looking forward to the performance. And, if things work out, I've already been invited to perform (the Beatles') I'm a Loser at Mr. Obama's concession speech in November."
