Leading members of The Writer's Guild of America are meeting tonight in Los Angeles to discuss whether veteran political commentator Bob Novak's brain tumor is funny.
"Normally these things are felt to be considered in bad taste," remarked veteran stand-up ghostwriter Saul Levine, "however this one is funny, considering the man has been running down homeless people on the streets of New York. In fact when I first heard the news, I was feeling kinda giddy."
When reached by phone and asked for a response, Bob Novak stated, "What do mean funny? But how am I funny? Funny like a clown? I amuse you? I'm here to amuse you? I don't know. You said it. You said I'm funny. How am I funny? What the...is so funny about ME?!"
