US President George Bush has confided to confidantes, that during the early part of his political development, he studied the British comic genius, Stanley Unwin.
Unwin, who died in 2002 aged 90, had a style of speaking not unlike that of President Bush, which scholars called Unwinese, and which everyone else called "gobbledegook".
Unwin, himself, referred to the strange tongue as Basic Engly Twentyfido, and designed it in such a way, that the whole language consisted of only 8509 words. It was a special, ornamented and mangled form of English which left listeners confused and disoriented. Just like Mr Bush does.
Unwin once described Elvis Presley as "wasp-waist and swivel-hippy", and enjoyed telling his children stories such as 'Goldiloppers and the Three Bearloders'.
When Mr Bush was asked to confirm the connection with the late Mr Unwin, he replied:
"That's noddle truetolife. Deep Joy! Oh yes!"
