It was announced today by CDC head, Dr. Julie Gerberding that Eliot Spitzer, disgraced former Governor of New York, will be the new director of CDC's Department of Sexually Transmitted Diseases. "He's the best man for the job," exclaimed Dr Gerberding.
The announcement drew audible gasps from the typically blase' media. It has been a little more than a month when the story broke that Mr. Spitzer had been associating with at least one prostitute of The Emperors' Club. This revelation resulted in a rapid fall from grace in the Democratic Party, a sudden resignation from the Governorship of the Empire State, and a punishing kick into the scrotum by Mr. Spitzer's wife, Silda.
Since the prostitution expose' first occurred, there have been further reports that Mr. Spitzer had frequented other prostitutes from other "escort bureaus" for a number of years.
When asked to explain her controversial choice, Dr. Gerberding said, "Anyone who could screw with all those hookers all those years and not get the 'clap,' has to know something."
