It seemed that something other than a double pleasure awaited Elliot Spitzer at room 222 of the New York Hilton yesterday evening.
Less than a month after confessing to rendezvous with high-priced call girls, and upon his arrival at the 5-star hotel, Spitzer was busted by police for soliciting 24 year-old Angelica and Gloria Spearmans, the dearly playful and wholesome twin actresses of the Wrigley Doublemint Gum commercials.
"The Police placed an ad on a dirty website they created called 'DoubleUrFun.web'," stated blond-haired, blue-eyed Angelica.
"Gloria and I then let them post a phone number and some pictures of us. But we insisted on wearing our clothes in the photos. Gloria and I aren't really into that kinda stuff with other people. Then lo and behold, just 4 hours later that poor, lonely guy called. I felt so bad."
Interviewed later in the presence of the young ladies, Officer Barrone discretely described the nature of the recorded call as "a solicitation for non-platonic relations with the 'young ladies'."
Spitzer, himself a former fan of Doublemint gum, faces a maximum of two years in prison where he says he plans to "switch to Juicy Fruit."
