ISRAEL - Today Republican candidate John Sidney McCain explained to reporters that the Jewish festival of Purim was like the American Halloween.
"During what Jews call Purim, they celebrate their version of Halloween" McCain said. "It's like today. The Jews were threatened by the Persian Haman, who was a Sunni allied to the Iranians. But they outsmarted him by putting on a bulletproof vest and going shopping in the marketplace while attack helicopters circled overhead, in perfect safety, going door to door, asking for candy and bombing Iran. That's what we're celebrating and anticipating today."
McCain's friend, Joe "The Irrelevant" Lieberman quickly defended his buddy. "Maybe I can patch things up with Obama," he said, "In time to get an ambassadorship."
