(Rotters) U.S. President Bush and his administration recently announced a bonus tax rebate to most American tax filers.
Under the guidelines of the Proposal, hereby dubbed "Operation Sandbag", up to $600 will be awarded to single US taxpayers who meet income requirements, and as much as $1200 will go to families with children. Each child could be worth an additional $300 to those families.
"It's the least we can do to show our 'preciation for lettin us bend y'all over for the last 8 years," said President Bush in a speech late last month. "This should prove to the 'merican people that I is learning a valuable lesson: People like money."
The 'merican people could not be reached for comment. They were too busy answering anticipatory phone calls from creditors and salespersons.
