Ron Eveland, Daily Chronicle - It was a step to far; after keeping surveillance for 3 weeks on a "Mr. M", the RIAA (Recording Industry of America) instructed cops to arrest on "multiple copyright thefts".

It appears, from reliable sources, that said "Mr. M" had used a "biological device" to interpret the waves of the CDs he had purchased, in order that he may "record" them for future recall.

Upon arrest, Mr. M agreed that he was able to hum, in great detail, the music he had bought. The RIAA was swift to point out that this is in breach of section 21A of the copyright law (Copyright Act 1976) that specifically prohibits the user to "remember in any way" the said music and also does not permit, under any circumstances "the flagrant humming of lyrics and/or chords in the shower".

Mr M. is due to be sentenced in February, but his prospects look bleak.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
