New York City -- Former Saturday Night Live cast member Horatio Sanz filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit early Thursday morning against New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson. Sanz's suit alleges that by dropping his bid for the White House, Richardson has robbed him of the opportunity to return to the NBC show, where he could earn millions impersonating the governor.
"Look at Mr. Sanz and tell me he doesn't look just like Bill Richardson," Sanz' lawyer Jackie Chiles told reporters at a press conference, "The two could be twins."
Sanz could not be reached, but calls to his house were answered by his mother, who said he was sleeping to prepare for his overnight shift at Denny's.
The suit seeks damages for lost income and emotional distress, and Chiles said he has taken on a second plaintiff, current SNL castmember Kenan Thompson, who fears he will now have to "diet his ass off" so he can successfully impersonate Sen. Barack Obama.
