WAHSINGTON, Nov. 20 -- In the 60th annual pre-Thanksgiving ceremony at the White House, President Bush kept with a much-beloved American tradition and forgot to pardon approximately 49,999,998 turkeys prior to the holiday.
Two turkeys named May and Flower were feted at the White House and will be the grand marshals at the Thanksgiving Day parade at Walt Disney World, and, unlike the identical remaining estimated 49,999,998 turkeys, will not be confined, debeaked, electrocuted and dismembered because people particularly desire to eat their corpses in abundance on a specific day of the year.
This is 60th year in row in which the president has conveniently forgot to pardon approximately 49,999,998 turkeys for the same crime of being turkeys that has also been committed by two randomly chosen turkeys.
