Washington, D.C. - Inspired by Putin running for the Russian parliament instead of stepping down from power, Hillary Clinton stepping up to power by running for office and dissatisfied with the way the Republican ticket is shaping up, Bush and Cheney announced that they have decided to throw their hats in the ring and run for office in 2008.
According to the Constitution, there is nothing preventing them from running, as this time around they will be switching places: Cheney will be running for President and Bush for Vice President, say Constitutionalist.
"It's the only way to assure the war on terrorism remains perpetual, guarantee continued domestic spying and begin the political cleansing," said a White House spokesman.
It is expected Cheney and Bush will run on the old law and order ticket, promising security by sacrificing liberty, prosperity through tax cuts for the wealthy, unprecedented national debt and drastic budget cutbacks in social programs for children, elderly, sick and working poor with any surviving social services outsourced or contracted to the private sector and then subcontracted overseas.
