U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is back on the job thanks to the usual shenanigans that kept him there as long as it did.
"I quit? I don't recall that," Gonzales smugly commented, as he carried a box of his personal belongings back to his office.
When informed that he had, indeed, accepted that 99.99999999% of the American population wanted to see his rear end hit by the door on his way out, Gonzales repeated himself. "I don't recall that. I quit? I don't believe so."
When shown footage of himself on tv resigning, Gonzales responded with, "Is that me? I don't recall looking like that. I seem to forget what I look like, so I don't believe that's really me resigning. That guy's kinda cute, though."
Gonzales might have thought he pulled a fast one, and bluffed his way back into his old job, until he stopped in his tracks at the site of a huge pit in the street where there was once the building that housed his A.G. office.
"Where's my office?! What happened to the building?!", at which point a passer-by smugly replied,
"I don't recall that building ever being there!"
