Schools: the new singles bars in Arkansas

A new Arkansas law, designed to help pregnant teenagers get married, is written as a boon to pedophiles and child sellers. The law allows children of any age, including toddlers, to be married with parental consent.

When the recent state bill was passed, people in Arkansas flocked to orphanages there and in neighboring states to "pick out the good ones." Eugene and Beulah Sharps of Toad Suck have legally adopted twelve girls between the ages of eight and thirteen. "We plan on findin' them all good husbands before Christmas so they can start their lives. If the prospective grooms feel the need to compensate us with a bride price due to all our anguish in raisin' these girls since we got 'em home, the goin' rates are posted."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
