This Saturday evening, broadcast on national television from New York City's Madison Square Garden, presidential candidates Hillary Rodham Clinton, John McCain, Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, and Barack Obama, will vie for the title of Masterdebator 2007.
This year's event, the first of its kind, will likely put the winner in the driver's seat for the 2008 election. And the candidates have reportedly been spending a great deal of time training for the event. Former president Bill Clinton said that his wife, Senator Clinton, has been masterdebating almost nonstop for the past few months. "She's a determined woman", the former president and possible First Gentleman said. "She's masterdebating more now than at any other time in our marriage, even when the Monica scandal was going on."
