Hollywood is not where one would expect to find billionaire Bill Gates but he has been spotted hanging out with the crew of the up-coming movie The Hobbit. Sources say the software genius has been harassing the casting director and begging to be cast as Elrond, the elf king of Rivendale.
An unidentified friend of Microsoft's founder says, "I can't believe Bill's done this, he's usually a quiet person who keeps to himself. A loner."
The classic J.R.R. Tolkien works have already been the basis for three animated and three live action movies. The success of the recent movies demands a prequel and the Hobbit is the logical choice since it is the only book without a live action version.
Sources say Bill is not asking to be paid for playing the part, he just wants to be involved. No one could say who would be spending Gate's money if he gets the part and is too busy to do it himself.
