An angry Jimmy Carter lashed out today at the current occupant of the White House, President George W. Bush, when he learned that Bush had been nominated for induction into the Ignoramus Hall of Fame.

"I deserve that honor at least as much as he does", Carter screamed. "I gave away the Panama Canal. I let national defense slide. I mismanaged the Iranian hostage crisis and then authorized a failed rescue attempt! I want to be recognized now! Me! Me! Me!"

The Ignoramus Hall of Fame annual convention will be held this summer in Moscow. In addition to the induction of President George W. Bush, Fidel Castro, John Ashcroft, and Hugo Chavez will become Ignoramus Hall of Famers. Two posthumous inductions will also be made this year, Yasir Arafat and Boris Yeltsin.
