A public school in San Francisco has decided to ban all references to Earth Day this year because of the fear that it might offend anyone who might be visiting here from another planet.
Following protests from a group claiming to be "aliens", the superintendent of Albert A. Gore, Jr. High School says that "aliens, (the ones from other planets, not the Mexicans) might be offended if we celebrate out planet and not theirs."
The school board has approved an alternate celebration called, "All Planets in All Galaxies Day".
The color green will be banned that day because of the racist connotations it might have towards aliens who are often depicted as being green in Hollywood movies. Additionally, May has been designated "Inter-galactic Visitors History Month" by the board.
Since there has been no reliable documented history involving aliens, a fictitious "noble" history will be taught in it's place.
