Building the Communist Party hopes to purchase for use as a meeting place to denounce individual property ownership

People in the United States who believe in an economic system ruled by collective ownership of property and by the organization of labor for the common advantage of all members, held their election year convention at a Des Moines area Denny's.

At the meeting, members took a democratic vote to choose who would represent their party on the 2004 presidential ticket, and the winner was Pauly Trunknip, current head of the party's "Irony" wing.

Also on the agenda at the meeting was a dramatic reading of Karl Marx's "Das Kapital", followed by suggestions on how the party can raise more money to promote collectivism in a classless society and fight the evils of corporate America, including a recommendation that it do so by using profits from the purchase of a "Starbucks" franchise.

Attendees then broke up for group discussion on how to distribute wealth equally to all, overthrow capitalism via revolution of the proletariat, and plan a fundraiser so they can buy land for an office building.

The land and building, purchased for use solely by the US Communist Party, will be used for meetings to discuss the abolition of inequalities in the possession of property, and equal distribution of wealth to all.

At the same meeting, Mitzi Fitzwater, also of the Communist Party's "Irony" wing, was elected Treasurer.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
