Washington - Donald Trump and Sean Hannity, two guys with net worth of hundreds of millions to billions, have saved themselves tens of millions in taxes by helping to push through legislation to reduce corporate and personal tax rates and inheritance taxes. It has been the only significant piece of legislation passed by the GOP administration, Senate and House.
The savings have caused the national debt to soar approximately 1 trillion per year, which will eventually need to be dealt with by everyone in the country, even those not really saving anything on their taxes, down the road, similar to the climate crisis.
Predictably, Trump and Hannity insist that anyone opposed to their largesse to be "enemies of the people" and "socialist whack jobs". And they have earned support of many working class people by promising to stop immigration, even though those supporters are paying dearly for the amassing of wealth by their worshipped leaders.
