Buoyed by his recent success in ending the longest US government shutdown in history single-handedly, President Donald Trump today spoke about the Mexican Wall project, and said that the superstructure would be "visible from the Moon".
Trump told members of the press:
"I've spoken to the experts, and they've told me my wall will be visible from the Moon, just the same as the Chinese Wall which is in China."
Asked if it would be visible if it turned out to be just a wire fence, Trump smiled softly, took a calming breath, and said:
"Look, if I can stand on the southern border, then look up and see the Moon,
I think it's pretty obvious that, the other way around, those living on the Moon will be able to see my wall. It's a simple matter of physics."
