A large protest march in Washington D.C. quickly ran out of steam

An unnumbered group of people estimated at over 50,000 marched on Washington to protest the war in Iraq and attempt to force the government to bring the soldiers home. This was the largest anti-war march in Washington since the anti-Vietnam marches of the 1960's.

Famous Rapper Snoop Dogg, attempting to rally the crowd with a Martin Luther King type speech, stood up and spoke in Ebonics. "I be havin' dreams n' shit," he said to a crowd mystified by his words.

The group starting singing 60's protest songs, but unfortunately only knew the slowed down versions used as elevator music or television commercial jingles. When the lyrics to "Blowin' in the Wind" begin involving a hair gel, the singing trailed off to nothing.

One man, trying to re-ignite the crowd, ran up to the microphone and begin chanting "Attica! Attica!" It did no good as no one knew what he was talking about.

While Jane Fonda did make a brief appearance, those over 40 begin chanting "Hanoi Jane" and those under thirty had no idea who she was, so she left.

No other celebrities or famous people were present, so the march was not that important.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
