Forget the power struggle between Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner. Even Ivanka Trump has little sway with her dad, the POTUS. Those in the know say eleven year old Barron Trump is the real juice behind the throne in the Trump White House.
David Corn first broke the story for Mother Jones and he talked to this reporter about the rise of Barron Trump in the White House.
"First let me say that Barron is brilliant and ruthless in the way that he's allowed his competition to thin itself out: He's the only member of the Trump team that purposely did not meet with or collude with the Russians as far as my sources tell me--in fact the Russians never seriously considered him a player in the Trump Administration and that's just how Barron wanted it. Now it looks like Barron had a hand in leaking information on Flynn, Manafort, and others."
"But the way Barron inoculated himself from the press before he even got a White House job, he's played us, the press, like a violin. Barron was the one who thought of making the video that made it look like he had autism, then he had it leaked along with the autism rumors."
We all know the result of the autism tape now: The resulting backlash to the media coverage of an obviously fake story has stifled any news coverage of Barron Trump ever since.
David Corn gave Barron's media strategy a name.
"That particular one I call 'reverse autism shaming', but Barron will use any ploy to thwart reporting on his activities and to further his goals of the accumulation of power and wealth."
What exactly is Barron Trump's title in the White House? Some are calling him Damien in private, but Corn says Barron doesn't actually want a title, nor does he intend to clarify any kind of policies or ideology.
"Barron Trump just doesn't want to be exposed to or to even be thought about by the public, but we know he's increased his net worth a thousand times over since his dad gave him a million dollars on his sixth birthday. Barron is worth a couple of billion now and he probably has lent his Dad's businesses hundreds of millions, but we won't know because advisers to the White House are not obligated to reveal their tax returns. It's all besides the point though, most people won't even believe that eleven year old Barron Trump is directing this administration."
The White House declined to comment for this story, but a spokesdick did try to shame this reporter for even asking about Barron Trump.
