While attempting to recreate President Obama's White House situation room during the Bin Laden raid, Donald Trump looked silly sitting in a low chair, (like Obama) placed at the end of the conference table, (like Obama) surrounded by Trump staff members, (like Obama) not during the actual Syrian airstrike, (like Obama's) but after the airstrike was over.
The photo wasn't taken in the White House situation room, where official acts of war are usually monitored, but at Trump's Mar-a-Lago Golf and Country Club Resort.
Certainly, there must be ballrooms or rooms of various sizes at the Mar-a-Lago Golf and Country Club Resort, but the tiny room used for the photo op, (like Obama's) seemed to be crowded with everyone except the chef and dish washer. While several people were standing, gold opera chairs were provided for those sitting down. There was even one woman squeezed in at the far end of the table, like Hillary at Obama's conference table during the Bin Laden raid.
Could the Syrian missile strike have been a Wag The Dog distraction from the House, Senate and FBI investigations about Russian involvement in the presidential election? The FBI assured the nation that Russia was involved, and a nervous Trump tried to get former DIA head, James Clapper, to deny the authenticity of the stormy Christoper Steele dossier.
Things are getting iffy, and too many Russian politicians are having sudden heart attacks, falling out of windows or dragged from meetings, bags covering their heads, kicking and screaming.
Why would Trump seek retribution for Assad's use of chemical weapons on the same Syrians that Trump twice attempted to ban from the United States? Syrians trapped in Syria also face a death sentence.
The fifty-nine Tomahawk cruise missiles, (priced at approximately one million dollars each) used to bomb the Syrian airbase, could have purchased substantial health care coverage for US citizens, or provided homes for Syrian refugees.
A less expensive Wag The Dog distraction, might be a photo of Trump's attempt at kitesurfing in the waters in front of his Mar-a-Lago Golf and Country Club Resort.
Very Barack Obama.
