Westley Snipes could face 16 years in prison for not filing his tax returns for the past 6 years. It seems the government is also charging Snipes with attempting to defraud the IRS out of 11 million dollars in fraudulent income tax refunds.
Snipes, star of such films as, US Marshall and New Jack City was difficult for the IRS to locate at first because he was filming in Africa.
"I wasn't running, I was already gone." said Snipes of the difficulties in apprehending him.
The IRS is just making me a scapegoat they're trying to quench the publics thirst for, "celebrities gone bad."
Snipes is looking forward to clearing his name and resolving this issue.
If you've seen Blade 1, 2, or 3 the IRS could have their hands full.
Westley is no stranger to hunting down cold blooded, flesh consuming vermin and dispatching them posthaste. Overcoming adversity against all odds in the face life threatening danger is one of his signature moves.
