DETROIT - The mayor of the bankrupt city of Detroit Dave Bing has just informed the news media that he has received a letter from the Al Qaeda organization headquartered in Pakistan.
The mayor went on to say that the letter was written by a Mr. Balabad Starmir who reportedly is a high ranking executive member in the Al Qaeda organization.
Balabad says his organization has offered to lend the city of Detroit $7 billion interest free for 3 years.
The only stipulation is that his organization would like to receive two state-of-the-art stretch limos painted in the Al Qaeda colors which are purple and lavender.
The mayor spoke with the city council and they will be voting on the very generous offer within 48 hours.
SIDENOTE: President Obama has said that it is very unique that a rogue organization like Al Qaeda makes that kind of a loan offer. The president noted that although he does not agree with the group's policies, when it comes down to it, a $7 billion interest free loan is one hell of an offer, which is virtually impossible to refuse considering Detroit's sorry financial state.
