NORFOLK, Virginia - The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals have gone to Congress to state their case regarding the wanton ingesting of animal crackers throughout America.
PETA's Executive Director Mimosa Ledbetter told the news media that her organization wants the eating of animal crackers banned.
She stated that it is a shame that American baking companies seem to think that it is funny for kids to eat crackers or cookies actually made to resemble various animals.
She noted that the partaking of animal crackers is merely a stepping stone to eventually eating real animals.
The PETA executive pointed out that when kids are allowed to eat hippo, monkey, or camel crackers/cookies it causes them to become desensitized,
Then when they become adults they won't give a second thought to the idea of eating cattle, hogs, or chickens.
