Mitt Romney flew to the New Jersey shore today with a camera crew and handed out Happy Meals to a crowd of seven hundred hungry and homeless New Jersey residents.
According to the traveling press corps Romney realized his largess was more than a little short of expectations and spoke briefly to the assembled.
"Go forth and multiply," he said to his aides as they tried to make two-hundred Happy Meals into seven hundred. Each had a small French fry and a Romney campaign button in the bag as the prize.
Romney was heard on an open mike saying to an aide: "What a bunch of dead beats!"
As a record player blasted "Happy days are here again," Romney waved to the crowd and smiled his trademark grin, the one that looks like he just fudged his pants.
In related news, VP nominee Paul Tyan met with Governor Chris Christie. The AP is reporting Christie told him to "bugger off" when Ryan wanted to wash Christie's feet for a photo op.
