A new Gallup poll published this morning indicates that Mitt Romney has surged in the polls particularly among liberals who now favor him by a margin of 83% to 15% for Obama. "It's a sympathy vote," states the poll. "Liberals are always for the underdog, the weak and the downtrodden. They may not like him, in fact most surveyed said they couldn't stand him but he would get their vote."
A majority of those surveyed said they knew he couldn't win but "liberals cannot stand to see a grown man cry, stated one participant. "He got my vote when he developed the tic in his eye and Ann started to cry. It brought tears to your eyes. It was worse than watching a Humane Society commercial," said one of those surveyed.
Further results showed however that conservatives were abandoning Romney in significant numbers but not enough to offset the liberal swing. "If there is anything we hate" said a conservative respondent, "is a sissy and a loser to boot. It was when he got that tic in his eye and Ann started to cry right there on TV, that was it. You might as well have been watching one of those sloppy Humane Society commercials!"
