A new rumor out of Washington was immediately denied by the Pentagon today, a little too immediate some are saying.
According to different versions of the story it seems like someone had a great idea on how to bring the world together and stop many of the wars and fighting.
The theme has been used before in science fiction up until now but apparently, the two countries have considered trying to bring it into the category of science fact.
Also, this may have been discussed many years back and is just now coming out because of how the internet has connected people all around the globe.
The story goes something like this:
A spaceship different from any other we have ever seen is found in either the US or Britain and is denied by both countries, even though both have placed troops all around the landing area.
Next a reporter gets the photo of an alien which the two countries have invented, using a volunteer who has had a lot of surgery to change his/her appearance to nothing like the average human. This is the 'secret' creature from space.
In times past, it might have been someone who would have normally made his living at a carnival side show but that is not needed today, with all the plastic surgery. Even DNA evidence could be used to prove the creature is not human.
The purpose would be that if we had a common enemy, the earth's population would become more united in the possibility of defending the Earth, rather than warring with each other.
There are many variations to the rumor. Of course, there may have actually been an attempt to carry through on the idea but most people think that after awhile, we would all go back to our fussing and fighting.
But what if there IS an alien threat after all. With all these rumors, it would be a great way for them to use the unbelief for their own purposes.
Guess we'll have to wait and see.
