HARFOLD, Vt. - Thanks to a campaign video which has gone viral this week, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum have begun taking a back seat to Joseph Kony and his Kony 2012 campaign.
With 62 million hits, Kony 2012 has kicked the asses of any campaign video that Paul, Romney or Santorum has come up with. At just over 460,000 views, Ron Paul's "Betrayal" and Rick Santorum's "Rombo" ads are laughable. With 332,000 clicks, Romney's "Believe in America" is a real snoozer.
Republicans seem more drawn to Kony's ability to take no shit from anyone who opposes him. Said Wilma Hawke, a staunch Republican upon exiting the polls in Vermont, "Kony will put a gun in everyone's hand: adults, old people, kids. Name me another candidate who claims he'll do that."
