Washington DC: A gossip columnist for a local tabloid newspaper has alleged that the president has been sleeping with several unidentified women.
The reporter indicated a high placed source leaked the information that the incidents in question had occurred aboard Air Force One during the president's international visits and campaign trips. The source would not provide any of the women's names.
The first lady could not be reached for comment. The Attorney General denied any knowledge of the affair. The president's party and associated non-profit organizations blamed the other party for a smear campaign. The other party charged there may be a cover-up.
The White House Press secretary called a news conference, saying "there is no cover-up!" The press secretary further indicated that the women were members of the Secret Service security detail charged with protecting the president and were asleep in their own cabins.
