BILLINGSGATE JOURNAL: Today, on one of the most watched Sunday political new's shows, Texas Governor Rick Perry, when asked if he had any comment regarding Michelle Bachmann's description of him being a "redneck Republican," he replied:
"Despite that comment, I have nothing but admiration for congresswoman Bachmann. I am a strong advocate of woman's rights. I even married one of those critters, something she refuses to do."
"In Texas, we have a word for women with dark skin and nice racks like her. We call them racc**ns.
At that point, the moderator breaks in:
"Given the seriousness of that statement, do I understand that you are using a racial word to describe Ms. Bachmann? I will give you a chance to explain."
"Hell no!" Perry replied. "That would be political hari-kari. For obvious reasons, I don't want to be quoted as saying she's a racc**n. The last thing I want to do is hurt her chances to be nominated. But it is still high on my list."
"Thank you for appearing on our show, Governor Perry. Good luck in New Hampshire."
