Coalition Energy Secretary Chris Huhne has briefed MP's on the government's green policy for the coming years.
Huhne advised the Commons that not only would the UK change the way it produces energy, but he also committed the country to halving its carbon emissions by 2025 from the levels achieved back in 1990.
The Lib Dem minister also informed the MP's that he had received instructions from Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg that the government should also commit to doubling admissions by ministers of indiscretions committed, even before they entered parliament.
Huhne stated that, although that this measure might not be "the best option for everyone", he would do his leader's bidding.
