Students arrive en masse to write Spoofs

A top university is giving its students the opportunity to learn how to write satirical stories in an effort to improve the quality of spoof writing on the internet.

In a recent online survey by the comedy spoofing website, the BBC, over 75% of those surveyed said they were tired of reading spoofs about vacuous celebrities written by middle aged men with little or no knowledge of their chosen subject. They were sick of the same old penis and vagina jokes and agreed that it was about time some new, young, intellectual blood was introduced to spoof writing in an effort to take spoofing to new levels of hilarity.

'It is a 3 year course designed to give those youngsters with an interest in spoofing the opportunity to hone their skills on their way to writing the perfect spoof.' said Professor Colin Jones of the University of Oxford.

'We will teach them that humour does not always have to be a series of knob or fanny gags, and that there's more to the public's interest than who's been shooting their load over Katie Price's dirty great funbags.'

A number of students have already begun to test their skills on an unsuspecting internet audience by posting their stories on the world's most popular spoofing website.

'It's great' said Oxford student Philip Mahole 'I wrote a spoof story the other day about Pierre De Fermat's Last Theorem.... actually being his First Theorem and it rather splendidly got 22 hits and a 3 Thumbs Up rating.'

'I'm now ranked 132 in the Top Writer's Chart and I've even been praised by some rather grumpy middle aged chaps in one of the forums, who've asked me to write some more stories just like my first effort.'

'I'm a competitive fellow though and I want to make my way to the number one position in that spoof writer's chart so my next spoof will be about Newton's forgotten Fourth Law of Motion.'

'The motion of Newton's bowels, the morning after a night drinking the strongest mead with a couple of wench's called Lady Cherylla Cole and Princess Kristen of Stewart.'

'I may be an intellectual type but I still have an ego, so bollocks to what I'm learning at university, it's Jordan's tits all the way for me now.'

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
