Video footage shows the terror as the Philbin family made their escape

A British father has been applauded for his quick thinking which saved his family from savage, hungry lions in Tanzania.

Whilst on the holiday of a lifetime, the Philbin family's tour bus broke down, deep in the Serengeti. As the driver radioed for help, several lions surrounded the vehicle with the intent of eating everyone inside. The screaming family panicked and leapt out of the bus, running for another bus close by.

One eye witness described the scene, "They all ran as fast as they could towards us and the lions gave chase. As the lions closed on the group, the man began picking up the children one by one and throwing them behind him."

Another witness added, "He used his children as lion chaff. The distracted lions ripped each child to pieces as the remaining family made their escape; textbook!"

Mr Philbin and his wife made it to the safety of the waiting bus as he exhausted his supply of counter measures.

After returning to the UK, a releived Mrs Philbin told us, "God certainly blessed us when he gave us twelve children, I don't know what we would have done without them!"

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
