Tayside Police have reported that goods worth thousands of pounds were stolen from a clothing and food store at the weekend.

A grim faced police spokesman stated that items to the value of almost £6,000 were taken from the House of Bruar in Bridge of Tilt, Perthsire during a break-in at 0145 BST on Saturday.

Thieves got away with 300 tartan travelling rugs, 400 sachets of blue rinse hair dye, 50 packs of Selkirk bannocks, 30 waxed barbour jackets and 10 pairs of green Hunter Original wellington boots.

4 Womens Institute secretaries are currently helping Tayside Police with their enquiries.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
