Harking back to the 'good old days' of the English Civil War the Government has passed emergency legislation declaring a State of Emergency which will enable them to execute Mervyn King, former Governor of the Bank of England.
It is thought the ex-Governor was obsessed by his name and became convinced he was an actual King. He told American Diplomats that Cameron and Osborne were inexperienced and more interested in politics than economics.
Defence lawyers desperately trying to stop King's public beheading outside Parliamenthave argued that he was clearly deluded to think he was an actual King. 'After all we have a Queen' observed Jonas Prendergastly Bore 'we will defend our client to the end.'
A date has not yet been set for the execution but huge crowds are expected. 'That will stop everyone going on about the poor bloody students and their fees' said Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, who secretly considers the Government may have gone too far over the issue. Several Liberal Democrat activists have warned Clegg that the beheading of King should not be public.
However Clegg was not convinced: 'It makes me unhappy to anticipate blood gushing from King's body but if the people do not witness the execution they will claim we have not actually carried it out. We can't have deluded Kings criticising my friends Cameron and Osborne. I could be the next one to be given King's judgement.'
