Richard Branson has decided to change sex after his Virgin motor racing team scored 0 in the Grand Prix season.
'I took this bet' he explained 'that if we came last in the tournament I would take dramatic action. Now the time has come.'
Richard will become Richie after the operation and is destined to work as an air stewardess on Virgin Airlines. 'I expect I will remain a virgin' he joked before being wheeled into the operating theatre.
Dr Primadula, a world famous surgeon, advised waiting reporters that the operation would take two hours, and Miss Branson would emerge as a complete woman.
Efforts to persuade her to appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing' after the Virgin Airlines stint are going to be made. A BBC spoke said today: 'Richie will be ideal for the Show. We expect her to get off to a flying start.'
For next season's Grand Prix Richie is still encouraging the Virgin team to beat the zero score and has offered to go on a Balloon ride around the world if the team don't get lift off.
