As if the long-running story concerning fans demanding their idols wear fewer or more clothes was not complex enough, another group has entered the fray.

'Humbly For Kate' is a group of fans who eagerly tune in to watch Kate Humble present Autumnwatch every Thursday during the autumn. She also presents Springwatch in the - er - spring.

The group's founder and chairman Derek Probate told us: "We have been following the Alice Roberts story with great interest.

"We sympathise with her fans' desire to see her with no clothes on - she is rather a cutie. But Kate's got that hair - isn't it gorgeous?

"But we don't expect Kate to run around in her birthday suit - it might get a bit chilly after all.

"So we've come up with this make-up and fashion line, 'Kate Humble Nude.' It's quite trendy as flesh tones are really in this season.

"She hasn't given it her blessing yet - we haven't asked. But it's certain to raise Kate's profile in the celeb stakes."

Mr Probate said the lines would be on sale at a special stall the next time the Alice Roberts/Miranda Krestovnikoff/Bettany Hughes fans assault case comes to court.

We have been reporting the story concerning Alice Roberts, Miranda Krestovnikoff and a host of other presenters ad nauseum. See our reports of Aug 26, Sept 1,3,5,10 and 29, Oct 2 and 6.
