The endless story concerning the required state of dress for female TV presenters dragged in another new name yesterday.
It emerged that the latest object of fan desire is BBC political correspondent Laura Kuenssberg when our reporter was approached by a BBC political insider.
He told us: "You're looking at the wrong set with Alice Roberts, Miranda Krestovinkoff and Bettany Hughes. You're nearer the mark with Kirsty Wark.
"During the conference season, we've been getting inquiries regarding the availability of photos of Laura in a, shall we say, state of deshabillé?
"One of the callers asked for details of the next protest outside the Newsnight case court (see Spoof Sept 29 and Oct 4) as he intended to join in."
We contacted one of these callers, who wished to remain anonymous. He said: "Oh yes, that's right. You can forget your documentary girls. Give me a politico.
"And have you heard that lovely Scottish burr in her voice. Oh, I'd climb over Alice to get to her any day."
Ellis Ian Field News Associates have been following the story of Alice Roberts and other presenters' fan groups demanding to "see more" of them since August.
